ANSP Collaboration: Benefits of Cross-Border ATM Systems Harmonization

It is a known fact that one of the biggest constraints ANSPs face, when trying to increase flight safety and efficiency, are the problems derived from crossing different FIR boundaries.

Homogenisation of the different ATM platforms at a regional level through ANSP collaboration has proved to drive not only big operational benefits in terms of flight efficiency or safety increase but also a reduction of costs for each of the partners in the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of the different ATM platforms within the same region.

Speaker: Gonzalo Martín, NATS-iTEC Programme – ATM Strategic Development Manager, Indra
