NATS is a member of the A6, an alliance of some of the largest European Air Navigation Service Providers. Its aim is to drive the modernisation of the European ATM network within the SESAR programme.
The A6 was created in 2007 with the aim of ensuring that ANSPs had a voice in discussions about SESAR. Its members include Aena (Spain), DFS (Germany), DSNA (France), ENAV (Italy), NATS (UK) and NORACON A6 Group, a consortium involving Austro Control (Austria), AVINOR (Norway), EANS (Estonia), Finavia (Finland), IAA (Ireland), LFV (Sweden) and Naviair (Denmark).
Collectively the members control over 70% of European air traffic and 72% of the investment in the European Air Traffic Management infrastructure of the future.
