Press Advisory – Bardarbunga Update

23 August 2014

NATS is monitoring the situation and working in close collaboration with the Met Office, DfT and our safety regulator, the CAA, as this dynamic situation develops further.

Please be advised that NATS does not close airspace but will help determine what impact this activity has for operations in UK airspace and advise airline customers accordingly.

For further information on how operations are maintained in UK airspace in cases of volcanic ash, please see our blog post – “What happens if Bardarbunga erupts?”.
