Fundraising continued into the spring with a multitude of sponsored marathons and running events, alongside team quizzes, sponsored waxes and cycle challenges.
April saw members of the NATS Football team in a joint fundraiser with Human Resources agree to have their legs waxed. The brave men had all agreed in advance that the more money they raised, the higher up the leg they would go. A ‘leg-o-meter’ was published on the employee intranet so people could see how much each footballer had raised.
Teams of Intrepid cyclists set themselves a tough challenges- with employees tackling the South Downs Way, and Land’s End to John O’Groats- a mere 940 miles! Collectively these events raised around £7,000 for Aerobility.
Following on from the success of Prestwick’s BIG pool fundraising, Prestwick held an outdoor five-a-side football tournament to raise funds for Aerobility. 55 employees played in the tournament with nine teams taking part.
Excitement also started to build ahead of the Big Pull, with teams busy making arrangements for the event of the year- the BIG weekend. NATS made impressive headway with the fundraising total hitting £84,000.
