NATS named among top undergraduate employers

24 September 2014

The air traffic management company, NATS is among the best undergraduate employers in the UK, according to a survey of industrial placement students.

Each year, NATS accepts students from across the country to spend a year working with them in a range of areas, from engineering and training through to safety and project management.

At the end of the placement, each student is then invited to leave feedback on their experience at ratemyplacement.co.uk based on their enjoyment of the role, the quality of the organisation and the social aspects.

Out of 2,139 companies NATS has been rated 84th, beating a number of big household name brands like Panasonic, Marks & Spencer and Eon.

On reviewing their experience, an undergraduate studying Air Transport and Logistics Management at the University of Huddersfield, wrote: “I have really enjoyed my year with NATS. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful! No two days were the same, and it has been a great learning experience in so many ways.”

Claire Burton, NATS Talent Acquisition Manager, said: “We try to offer our placement students a really vibrant, varied and enjoyable experience that will equip them with the skills they need to start a rich and fulfilling career.

“We’re delighted that has been reflected in our scores and we look forward to receiving this year’s applications over the coming months.”

NATS offers a range of early employment opportunities and will be attending careers fairs all over the country over the next few months.

The application window for next year’s intake of students and graduates opens on 1 October, with more information available at nats.aero/careers/early-careers.
