UK CAA/IAA publish revised UK/IRE FAB Performance Plan for RP2

10 June 2014

In Summer 2013, NATS published two potential business plans covering the RP2 period (2015-2019), a service led plan and a price led plan.

This was followed by a consultation process with airline customers and other key stakeholders, leading to a Revised Business Plan being submitted to the CAA for consideration.

The CAA and IAA then published a draft Performance Plan incorporating further price reductions through cost efficiency targets, alongside safety, service quality and environmental performance targets.

After a period of consultation, they have since published their proposed Performance Plan for the UK-Ireland Functional Airspace Block (FAB) and have submitted it to the UK and Irish Governments for adoption.

The DfT are now considering all elements of the plan and, with the Irish, will submit the UK/IRE State adopted plan to the European Commission at the end of June.
