Introduction

NATS System and Equipment courses offer an unparalleled variety of hands-on training using real ATC equipment.

Equipment is located at our UK Training Centre in Whiteley and NATS Radio Navigational Aids Centre at Highfield Park.

Engineering trainers at NATS are Teacher Accreditation Program (TAP) professionals with specialist system knowledge, skills and understanding required to take apprentice level students all the way to high performance specialist engineers.

Contents

This course covers the purpose, function and architecture of this UHF Distance Measuring equipment and the interdependencies within the system.

The engineer will be able to describe the signal path through the system, how to use test equipment and the monitoring system to determine serviceability and correctly diagnose and rectify defects.
