NATS System and Equipment courses offer an unparalleled variety of hands-on training using real ATC equipment.

Equipment is located at our UK Training Centre in Whiteley and NATS Radio Navigational Aids Centre at Highfield Park.

Engineering trainers at NATS are Teacher Accreditation Program (TAP) professionals with specialist system knowledge, skills and understanding required to take apprentice level students all the way to high performance specialist engineers.

DVOR is a navigational ground beacon which provides an omnidirectional signal enabling an aircraft to determine its bearing.

Engineers attending this course will learn the principles and architecture of the DVOR and have the opportunity to carry out periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis and the replacement of faulty units.

They will also gain experience in setting to work the system and restoring it to operational service.
